Jenaro I Pain's Music & History ( Freestyle Music Interview #9 )
In May Jenaro did his first show in the San Francisco Bay Area and shared stage with Tora ("Seductive Love"), Emery Rodriguez (MKG's "Tear Shed") and Aki Starr of SF Spanish Fly ("Treasure of My Heart"). We had the opportunity to link up with him and did this interview with him. Freestyle Showcase: • Jenaro I "Don't Talk To Me" ( Frees... Who is Jenaro? Jenaro Vadell known Musically as JENARO was born and raised in Camden city N.J. right across the river from Philadelphia. He is a founding member of the music duo known as PAIN who have amassed a huge follwing and accolades in the Freestyle music genre. Jenaro's unique artistic sensibilities and vision helped to take PAIN from an obscure group to a force in the genre from the early 90s into the 2000's performing in many venues all across the U.S. In late 2019 Jenaro stepped away from PAIN and embarked on his solo career. By 2020 he released his Version of the song "Scars" and immediately followed up with "Love Again" establishing himself as a unique talent in the freestyle community. In the following year Jenaro would release "Scars", but this time featuring Jenni Renee and remixed by Willie Valentin for Artistik Records. In 2022 he released "Don't Talk To Me" and "Those Eyes", but it was in 2023 that Jenaro would deliver his breakaway solo song "Drunk & I Miss You". He was no longer Jay from Pain, he was now Jenaro.
