how to calculate support reactions in beams {Shortcut Trick} | support reactions of beams |

This video gives procedure for calculation of support reactions on a beam.. Beam - A beam is a structural element that primarily resists loads applied laterally to the beam's axis. Steps for calculating support reactions in beam- (1) First of all you have to draw a free body diagram of the given figure to show all the forces present in the body. (2) After this you have to apply a simple trick which is shown in the video.. (3) After applying this method or trick you can easily calculate support reactions on the both ends ( Ra , Rb or Rd etc ) of the beam Note - The trick or method shown in the video is only applicable for simply supported beam when loaded with concentrated point loads so do not apply this trick or method to any other beam such as cantilever beam or fixed beam or overhanging beam... This type of concept comes under physics, engineering mechanics and mechanics of solid also known as som or mos . This trick is very useful for finding support reactions and minimizing time in calculation of shear force and bending moment diagram ( sfd and bmd ) , deflection of beam and torsion of shafts and also in strain energy for calculating reactions in simply supported beam questions . Note - It is very important topic for the exams of gate , jee , isro , barc and many other psu exam. Thankyou 🙏 please like Share and subscribe E G MECH #supportreactions
