Oregon Wildfire Smoke Update Very Thick Smoke in the Skies

September 8, 2020 at 11:00AM Western Oregon Wild-land Fire Smoke Update - These fires causing this smoke is 50 to 60 miles east of here in the Santiam Canyon affecting the towns of Lyons, Mill City, Gates, and Detroit. Here on the west side of the Willamette Valley, the smoke for the forest fires is very thick and the sky is orange.
