Red Dead Redemption 2 Mission #29 Preaching Forgiveness as We went

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalised representation of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The story also follows fellow gang member John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption. The game is presented through both first and third-person perspectives, and the player may freely roam in its interactive open world. Gameplay elements include shootouts, heists, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and maintaining the character's honour rating through moral choices and deeds. A bounty system similar to the "wanted" system from the Grand Theft Auto franchise governs the response of law enforcement and bounty hunters to crimes committed by the player. Absolutely amazing work and effort put in by Rockstar Games. This review is spoiler free so you can read this without worry. Graphics: The game's graphics are absolutely spectacular, especially when you finish the first chapter of the game. The lighting and fog effects are unbelievably good. The god ray effects in forests are realistic. Nighttime lighting is realistic as the moonlight spreads over the whole area instead of being a light in the sky. Character clothes have great attention to detail, along with the fur on animals, and mud effects in towns. Gameplay: The gameplay can be a bit of a slow burn at the start, but once the first chapter is done, the gameplay becomes less restricting, and continues to do so as you progress forward. The Dead-Eye system, which is a character ability to slow down time when shooting, isn't like regular slow-mo shooting, but you can tag targets to automatically shoot them when you press the shoot button. The gameplay is also very realistic as you have to maintain your guns to keep them working effectively (they can jam if you don't) and you also have to bathe regularly to keep yourself clean, eat regularly (but not too much at a time) to keep your weight in check and also you have to sleep and eat regularly to maintain your cores. The 3 cores (Health, Stamina and Dead-Eye) decide how fast their respective attribute regenerates. If you have full cores, the attributes will regenerate at the fastest possible rate. Another mechanic is horse bonding and to do this you have to groom, feed and be kind to your horse to bond to the maximum level i.e level 4. You also have to feed your horse regularly so they don't starve. All this may be confusing at first, and may be tedious to some, but you'll figure it out once you start playing the game Details: I could go on and on about this. Horse balls expand/contract based on the weather, wolves mourn other wolves' death, constellations in the sky are 100% accurate. You drown if you swim too long, boats sink if a hole is shot in them, you pass out if you drink too much alcohol, you can vomit if you eat too much. Snow, mud and blood can get stuck on your character's clothes, and clothes only get wet up to the part they have been inside the water. Also, let's not forget the great random encounters in this game. Story and side missions: The story is possibly one of the best ones in video-games. I won't write much about this as it's filled with spoilers, but rest assured, if you pay attention to the story, you will enjoy the game to its fullest. Coming to the other thing, side missions are often humorous and enjoyable, and are usually as good as the main story. Make sure to do side quests around the same pace as the main story. Characters: The characters are quite amazing. People who only played the first game may not like Arthur at first, but trust me, he is amazing. Then there's the iconic John Marston who isn't as great as he was as he is still young and foolish. We also have the charismatic Dutch Van Der Linde as the leader of the gang, and Bill and Javier as guns on heists. Other returning characters include Abigail Roberts/Marston and a 4 year old Jack Marston. There are also a lot of new characters like Hosea Matthews, Micah Bell, Lenny Summers, Charles Smith etc, who you all don't know at the start, but eventually come to form an opinion and virtual bond with them. I could go on and on but I'll just let you experience the rest. It is a 10/10 game made by the legendary company Rockstar Games, so rest assured, it's worth every single penny.
