GO Battle League Submissions: https://forms.gle/whekpsdS8qrCq6mJ6 In today's video we are taking a look at our first battles in the Kanto Cup for season 9. The team being featured in this video consists of a triple debuff strategy, with each Pokemon on the team having its own debuff move. With this team I was able to climb into the 3300's and at the time of this video, place at number 420 on the global leaderboard. This team features Alolan Marowak in the lead with the legacy move Shadow Bone. I selected Marowak as the lead because I wanted additional coverage for the Fighting type weakness to Dewgong, as I expected Fighting to be extremely common as a result of all the normal types in this meta. Pidgeot is joined by Dewgong in the backline, a core which I feel is very strong and works really well together. Dewgong will be operating as the safe-switch for the most part with Pidgeot operating as the closer when possible. Pidgeot is a great answer to the normal types running a Ghost type fast move such as Lickitung or Snorlax, where as Dewgong is one of the best answers to XL Chansey. The team itself does have a glaring weakness to Rock/Electric, meaning that it risks being swept entirely by a Pokemon such as Alolan Graveler. Lapras is another Pokemon which can cause some issues but can be handled in certain situations depending on the move set. Swapping Marowak for a different lead that offers more balanced coverage for this weakness may help with long-term results. Suitable replacements may include Pokemon such as Mew, Hypno or Dragonair. Overall, this is a team that is rated quite well on pvpoke despite the obvious weakness to Rock types, Alolan Graveler and Lapras in particular. Despite these weaknesses, we were able to pull out some big wins in this video and I think these battles highlight the strength of this team if you can avoid encountering those main threats. Depending on your ELO and what type of Pokemon you are encountering in the meta, this might be a team to consider running. In this video we use a team consisting of: Alolan Marowak (Fire Spin, Shadow Bone*, Bone Club), Pidgeot (Gust*, Brave Bird, Feather Dance) & Dewgong (Ice Shard*, Icy Wind*, Water Pulse). denotes Legacy move (may require Elite TM). __________________________________________ On this channel we cover PvP content mostly related to GO Battle League in Pokemon GO.
