Toronto Raptors fans began lining up along the route for Monday's victory parade on Sunday evening, as an estimated two million were expected to pack the streets of Canada's largest city to celebrate the team's first NBA title. The procession began with Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (upper left) holding the Larry O'Brien trophy atop one of three double-decker buses while Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard (lower left) enjoyed a cigar with his hardware in the back of another. Naturally, Toronto native and Raptors 'global ambassador' Drake (lower left) was along for the ride, and he even brought his mother, Kim Robertson. Mike Bartlett, head of community affairs and events with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, provided that 'two million' estimate to Toronto's CP24. The figure is remarkable considering that Toronto has a population of 2.93 million, although the greater-Toronto area population is closer to 6 million. The Raptors beat the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals in Oakland on Thursday to clinch the 2019 NBA Finals and win the first title in the franchise's 24-year-history. Monday's parade is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. ET at Exhibition Place's Princes' Gates and will end at Nathan Phillips Square for a 12:30pm rally. Fans could be seen gathering along the square on Sunday evening, with many sleeping on the concrete overnight. Original Article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic...
