As it stands now, Avatar 2 is set to have one of the biggest if not THE biggest opening of the year, beating Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, which would be a huge win at the box office Disney desperately needs. James Cameron recently suggested this film would need to be one of the top 5 grossing films of all time to be a profitable endeavor. That means Avatar 2 The Way Of Water would need to haul in around $2B globally, including a Chinese box office, to hit that mark.
