37059+37069 Deafen the West working 1Q12 9.3.11

On a glorious spring day, the very rare visit of Class 37 locos visit the West country. DRS Compass liveried tractors 37059 and 37069 work 1Q12 Bristol Temple Meads-Old Oak Common via Gloucester. The very unusual working consists of 4 Network Rail testing coaches. The locations I chose were simply for the thrash factor! On a beautiful summers day, probably not the greatest places to go, but my GOD was it worth it today! Firstly 37059 leads 069 through Sydney Gardens, to the east of Bath, where the speed limit has just gone from a 40 at Bath Spa to 90 passing the Gardens, perfect! Unfortunately the train was hit by a caution signal here, but full thrash was encountered, Bingo! The second clip, my favourite, is at Oldfield Park, a mile to the West of Bath station, this little station is ideal, again where a lift in speed is garaunteed, with 37069 leading she screams delightfully past, with withered passengers looking on in amazement! BEAST!
