Homeless mother abandons newborn twins near a dumpster

The babies were found on the ground next to a pair of dumpsters (left) in Fairfield, California, on Tuesday afternoon, when temperatures reached into the mid-80s. Their mother was found nearby and taken to a hospital. Police and paramedics were able to save one of the twins, but the other died at the scene.
