Daily Devotion May 13th, 2025 Topic: Obedience in uncertainty Verses: Genesis 31: 4 - 7 Good morning everyone. Today is Tuesday May 13th 2025. Welcome to our daily devotion, our topic today is Obedience in uncertainty. Saints we just would like to thank everyone that joined us last night for Bible study with Brother Neroo, we gain some lovely insight on things and had a great discussion about others. Feel free to join us tonight on Zoom for Pastor Rose's Bible study. Pastor Lambey, will post the link. So, Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah.. and said to them, "Your father has cheated me and changed my wages 10 times. But God did not permit him to harm me." Jacob opened his heart to Rachel and Leah, confessing the unfair treatment he endured. In his testimony, we see a man who had been mistreated but not defeated. Saints, although Jacob had every reason to be bitter, he acknowledged something greater: God did not allow Laban to harm him. Saints, Jacob's story reminds us that obedience doesn't always come with instant rewards or clarity. For years, Jacob worked under an oppressive system. Kind of like what we do sometimes every day when we go to work and are unhappy with our situations and how we're being treated at work and we stay anyway. But when the time came, his faith translated into action. He obeyed God's instruction to leave, not knowing all that lay ahead. Meaning when God has a plan for you and you know what you need to do, then follow your first mind, which is God. When God has made a way for you to leave and be ok, that's God talking to you, telling you it's time to go. When you feel it deep in your heart, in any situation, work, relationships, marriages, friendships, when they become abusive and toxic, and hurtful and you've tried to fix it, or change the situation but you can't, it's time to go. Saints, are you in a place of obedience, but you feel like you're still waiting to see God's hand. Trust that he's been protecting you and preparing you all along. Saints our takeaway should be: 1. God always sees our suffering. 2. He limits the harm of others to us. 3. He honors our obedience, even when we don't understand the full picture. Saints, let's pray: Father God in Heaven, thank you for watching over us in seasons of uncertainty. Strengthen our resolve to walk in obedience, knowing that you are always working on our behalf, even when we don't see it. We surrender our fears and we trust in your perfect timing. In the mighty name of Your Ever Loving Son Yeshua Hamashiach. Amen
