Why It’s OK to Question “The Truth” | A New JW Brochure

For decades, Jehovah’s Witnesses have produced short, high-impact brochures designed to introduce their beliefs clearly and persuasively. Until now, there has been nothing comparable written for Jehovah’s Witnesses who are questioning — something brief, accessible, carefully sourced, and designed to encourage calm reflection rather than confrontation. “You Should Not Fear Him: Why It’s Okay to Question the Truth” is a new full-color brochure I’ve been working on quietly for many weeks. It distills the most important reasons Jehovah’s Witnesses should examine their beliefs, using the Bible, Watchtower publications, and historical evidence — all presented in a familiar, non-threatening format. The brochure is structured around seven sections, covering: *“New light” and doctrinal flip-flops *The 607 BCE / 1914 teaching *Armageddon predictions *Shunning *Blood transfusions *Mishandling of child abuse *Common “thought-stopping” defenses used to shut down questioning Throughout, the emphasis is on personal agency. Readers are not told what to think or what to do — only encouraged to reflect, verify sources, and reach their own conclusions.
