SMWCentral Halloween Level Design Contest (HLDC) 1st place Creator: ● Storm Kyleis, Firoshi, RednGreen ● ADHERENCE TO THEME: 20/20 ●OVERALL DESIGN: 18/20 ●CREATIVITY: 19/20 ●AESTHETICS: 10/10 ●67/70 ●COMMENTS: There's no doubt that this is the best level this contest has to offer. The sheer variety of areas which coherently fit together in a "mansion" format is brilliant. It felt so much like one of the newer Castlevanias in its gameplay. What really helps is that dying retains the souls you collected, so while it's still an inconvenience, it never feels like a game-breaker. I feel like the last room (dodging the ghosts) could have been handled a bit better, and it came off as frustrating, but aside from that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
