In this video, we spend three days exploring the Serbian capital, from the old town and bohemian quarters to communist-era architecture and riverside neighborhoods. Whether you’re into history, culture, or food, Belgrade has plenty to offer. We begin at Republic Square, the heart of the city, with its iconic statue of Prince Mihailo, the National Museum, and National Theatre. Just steps away is Knez Mihailova Street, Belgrade’s bustling pedestrian boulevard lined with 19th-century architecture, shops, and street performers. Nearby, the Art Deko Bazar is a great spot for vintage finds and handmade crafts. For a more alternative vibe, Dorćol is packed with cafés and street art, while Skadarlija, the bohemian quarter, comes alive at night with cobblestone streets, historic taverns, and live Serbian music. On day two, we stop at the historic Petković Café, try traditional cakes, and visit St. Mark’s Church, one of the largest Orthodox churches in Serbia. A highlight of Belgrade is the Church of Saint Sava, its golden interior making it one of the most beautiful religious sites in the Balkans. We also explore the Museum of Yugoslavia and the House of Flowers, Tito’s former residence and resting place, before heading to the modern Belgrade Waterfront along the Sava River. Day three takes us to the Belgrade Fortress, dating back to the 2nd century, with sweeping city views, the Victor Monument, and the unique Ružica Church, where chandeliers are made from swords and bullets. Crossing into New Belgrade, we see Brutalist architecture and wide socialist-era boulevards before moving on to Zemun, once under Habsburg rule. With its cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and Central European charm, Zemun feels like a city within a city. Highlights include Gardoš Tower, St. Nicholas Church, and a riverside walk along the Danube.
