Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire [Arcade] - Black Sam

This is a playthrough using Black Sam in the Arcade game Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire. Read on below for more information... Black Sam is the doppleganger boss for regular Sam. He is fought against on stage 10, which is the final stage. ===== ABOUT THE DOPPELGANGER BOSSES ===== The "doppelganger" bosses are basically clones of the regular characters with a special prefix added to their name and being allocated a unique boss colour palette. The gameplay difference between the normal and boss counterparts is that the latter has an extra juggle opportunity, meaning that instead of just 1 juggle attack, they are able to do 2 juggle attacks. Other than that, they appear to operate the same as the regular versions. These boss versions of the characters are actually selectable through a hidden input code. This means that for each doppelganger there are 2 boss colour palettes (because if the player selects a boss version character and reaches the final stage, there would need to be an alternative colour for the CPU doppelganger). ===== HOW TO SELECT THE BOSS VERSIONS ===== On the character select screen, highlight the character of your choice and press [START] + [ANY ATTACK BUTTON] simultaneously. If you've got it right, the character sprite will change into the boss colour. Note that Player 1 can only get the default boss palette; and Player 2 can only get the alternate boss palette. ===== ABOUT BLACK SAM ===== Against the CPU opponents, the thing you will not like about him is his sweep (Crouching HK), because it is short-ranged when compared to a conventional sweep. If you're a player who likes ending chain combos with Crouching HK, then you may have a problem with him. Despite that, two of his special moves are effective... only because you can sometimes exploit the CPU AI with them. For example, sometimes the CPU walks into his Ryo Sakazaki rapid punches, and The Distance Flying Kick can sometimes catch them out. ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ===== ---- For some reason, Lau, Yeung and Thorsten have been given unorthodox colour palettes. ===== ABOUT JCIFOF ===== This is an update to the prequel game Jackie Chan: The Kung-Fu Master, and is basically the "Champion Edition" version of the game. The main difference is that in Fists of Fire they have made all three versions of Jackie Chan (all unplayable in the prequel) into regular playable characters. Other extras and changes include an improved combo system; a desperation move system; a pounce/pursuit feature system; gameplay balance changes; colour changes for specific graphics; etc. Unfortunately there are no new characters. But seeing as the three previously unplayable Jackie Chan characters were made playable characters, you can consider them as "new" characters. The soundtrack also remains the same.
