Almost 1,000-year-old Maya text placed on display by Mexico City museum

An exhibit featuring an ancient Maya pictographic text, which sheds new light on the Mayan civilization, opened for viewing at Mexico City's National Museum of Anthropology on Thursday (September 27). According to Mexico's National Anthropology and History Institute (INAH), the calendar-style text, known as the Mexico Maya Codex, is authentic.
