On this sacred day, the Papal Conclave begins as Cardinals gather under Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. In deep silence and prayer, they vote coram Deo — before the face of God. As the Papal Conclave begins, the we'll turn to Our Blessed Mother in this Marian month of May, to unite in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide the election of a holy and faithful successor to Saint Peter. Today we also honor: • Saint Rose Venerini – Founder of Italy’s first public school for girls and a champion of Christian education.
