Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video released on Saturday that the world should prepare in a "number of ways" for the possibility Russia might use nuclear weapons, though he did not give evidence for such an assertion. "The world doesn't need to wait. The world needs to prepare," he told reporters at a briefing. Last month, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia would only resort to nuclear weapons only in the case of a "threat to the existence" of the country. He also said that while Ukraine was receiving weapons from various countries, he believed Russia was not aware they were not receiving enough. Zelenskyy also addressed the situation in Mariupol, saying it was not improving on a daily basis, but he praised those in the city who he said "defend heroically."
