Shay Cormac, now a Templar sympathizer, teams up with Monro to investigate the activities of a rival gang threatening New York. Their investigation leads them to Benjamin Franklin, an old friend of Shay's, who is unwittingly aiding the Templars by providing them with chemicals for their operations. Shay infiltrates Franklin's house, avoids his loyal dog Sparky, and discovers the Templars are using the chemicals to create deadly poisons.
