This video is the Second of a two part series on installing a BLTouch sensor to the Creality CR10S5 3D Printer. Please read all of this description as there as important notes on the firmware in it that trip a lot of people. This kit I used was an after market kit purchased from Ebay, not from Creality. The Creality kit is more expensive than the one I purchased, but cost was not the deciding factor, time was, this kit was in Australia with a less than one week delivery, it takes between 3 and 6 weeks to get stuff from China. The kit from Creality contains a genuine BLTouch, this kit was a cheap knock off. When compared to the BLTouch I have for the Cocoon Create Touch, the build quality is very different. For comparison I do have a genuine BLTouch installed on my other printer so am in a position to compare. I may just do a video on that. If you are going to perform this upgrade, I suggest you get the kit from Creality. At least that way the cables should be the correct length and you will get a genuine BLTouch. The BLTouch mount I printed was created by shocksofmighty and can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:249... Creality CR10 Top winch support by kolergy can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3226665 You can download the Marlin Firmware from their web site at http://marlinfw.org/ In this video I used Marlin 1.1.9 Since then Arduino have released a new version or two of their IDE, The Marlin 1.1.9 will not compile on these newer versions. You will need version 1.8.9 for this to work. You can get this from the Arduino.cc web site. https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/OldSof...
