However, since the console wasn't a big seller in general and the game didn't want to be denied access to a wider audience, they ported the title to the successful Nintendo Switch hybrid console. The fifth DKC installment, "Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze," incorporated "leftover ideas" that were no longer possible in Returns due to time constraints or technical limitations. These include the return of water levels and Kong partners Dixie Kong with her propeller jump, and Cranky Kong with his pogo stick, which not only allows you to reach higher ground but also effortlessly cross dangerous, spiky passages. Diddy is, of course, still on the team with his jetpack. Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version, Funky Kong joins the team, combining the abilities of all Kongs and also being able to take multiple hits – the perfect character for casual players. Great secrets, a dynamic camera, 1080p resolution on TV with the Nintendo Switch, and 60 frames per second, along with stunning level design, make DKCTF one of the best 2D platformers of all time.
