Though ballistic gel won't exactly predict how a bullet will perform in an animal, it's great for testing and comparing different cartridges and loads against each other in a consistent and repeatable manner. Here's the specific rifle & loads I used in this 375 H&H gel test: Ruger Safari Magnum (24" barrel) 375 H&H Hornady Dangerous Game 270gr SP-RP 375 H&H Hornady Dangerous Game 300gr DGX Bonded 375 H&H Federal 300gr Swift A-Frame 375 H&H Federal 300gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw 375 H&H Barnes 300gr TSX 375 H&H 300gr North Fork Semi-Spitzer Bonded Soft Point from Hendershot's Custom ammo Note that this is something of a 375 Ruger gel test as well and the results obtained for the 375 H&H in this video will closely translate over to the 375 Ruger cartridge because those two rounds shoot identical bullets at nearly the same velocity.
