Jumping Spider watches typing
Jumping spiders (Salticidae) have excellent vision and are ambush predators that keep on the move, scoping out prey. There are a various species in my terrace garden, and a couple of species that seem to prefer being indoors. I often see them exploring the walls and my studio desk... This video shows one that got curious about the movement on my Mac LCD display and wandered out to have a closer look... As I typed, the tiny arachnid raced over to the cursor and watched the letters appear.
