Helen Hayes Honors Assembly 2019 Honors David Kagan

David lost his left leg and suffered multiple broken bones after being struck by a car not once, but twice. Despite his traumatic injuries, he approached therapy with an enthusiasm and dedication that inspired all around him. Due to his hard work, he was able to leave HHH with modified independence in most tasks. For his incredible achievements, David was presented with the Medal of Independence at the 119th Helen Hayes Hospital Honors Assembly on September 17, 2019.
