Nubra valley in Ladhak holds so many surprises and one of them is Hunder Sand dumes :- A beautiful, remote and stark, the hunder village located in the middle of a cold desert in Nubra Valley. It is 10km away from Diskit village. Usually when we think of Sand dumes, an image of brown sand, one humped camels pops up but it holds a lot of beauty in it. On of the beauty is desert in itself in such an high altitude. Also double humped Bactrian camels is also surprising. In the evening time the barren mountains are covered with the crimson hues of the sun and it is so wonderful that a place like this exist in this chaotic world. A beautiful place Khardunga la is a beautiful mountain in Leh. When we interacted with the locals they pronounce it as “Khardzong La” or “Khardong La”. It is north of the Leh and is gateway for Shyok and Nubra Valleys. The elevation of Khardunga la is 17,582 ft (5359m).
