Bruce is disoriented, and his mental state is deteriorating due to the drug injected by Vicki Vale, who was revealed to be the leader of the Children of Arkham. Arkham's environment is hostile, and Bruce is mistreated by the staff and fellow inmates. In a key scene, Bruce meets a mysterious and unsettling inmate who refers to himself as John Doe — a character clearly foreshadowing the Joker. John appears friendly but untrustworthy, offering to help Bruce in exchange for a favor later. Depending on the player's choices, Bruce can either accept or reject John’s help. Lucius Fox helps Bruce from inside the company and offers two choices: either he stays at Wayne Enterprises to spy on Oswald or leaves and works directly with Bruce from the Batcave. This choice affects future storylines and relationships. Vicki Vale’s Identity: Bruce learns more about Vicki Vale, whose real name is Vicki Arkham. She’s descended from the founders of Arkham Asylum and seeks revenge against the Wayne family for their role in corrupting and exploiting the city. She blames the Waynes for her parents’ deaths and has become violent and radicalized. The Children of Arkham’s Plan: Vicki, as Lady Arkham, plans a major attack. She and her followers aim to break the criminally insane out of Arkham Asylum and use them to destroy Gotham’s power structure. Her influence is spreading, and she becomes more dangerous as she taps into fear and trauma to rally supporters. The Fight with Cobblepot: Bruce, as Batman, confronts Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot, who is now armed with advanced Wayne Tech. He uses signal jammers and other gadgets to level the playing field. A tense battle breaks out either at Wayne Tower or WayneTech R&D lab, depending on the player’s earlier choices. Batman is forced to defeat Oswald without relying heavily on his tech, showcasing his skill and resolve. Gordon and Dent: Meanwhile, Harvey Dent, now disfigured and mentally unstable (especially if he was scarred in Episode 3), declares martial law on the city. As mayor, he becomes paranoid and violent, targeting both criminals and innocents. Gordon is caught between duty and morality, struggling to hold the city together. Closing – Setting up the Finale: The episode ends with Gotham on the brink of collapse. Vicki Vale’s next move is imminent, and the player must prepare for a final confrontation with Lady Arkham. The emotional and moral weight of past choices begins to bear down on Bruce/Batman.
