The Witcher 3 PC - Ryzen 5 3600 & RTX 3060 Ti - FPS Test and Settings

#TheWitcher3 #RTX3060Ti #Ryzen3600 The Witcher 3 PC tested on Ryzen 5 3600 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Greetings, everyone. It doesn’t really take me a lot to make yet another Witcher 3 video, and of course having a new RTX 3060 Ti is as good an opportunity as any, really, so here we are. My current PC specs are: -CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull). -Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. -GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC and WHQL driver 460.89. -RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB) CL16 DDR4@3200 Mhz. -Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S.), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB (game in here). -Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2x140 Front, 1x120 Lower Front - Exhaust: 1x140 Rear, 1x120 Top/VRM Area). -PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold. -O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.2004). -Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p-240Hz. For a game that launched in 2015, this is still one of the most demanding PC titles out there, so much that Hairworks is a feature that can be as consuming as enabling RTX in other games like Cyberpunk 2077. As such, and even without Hairworks, the RTX 3060 Ti cannot run this game at stable 60 FPS at 4K resolution, not even at High Settings: the game launched as most CDPR games do: a future proof game that would stand the passing of time, and it has done just that, pretty well, in my opinion. With all the patches it has received, it runs as best it could ever do, being a DX11 title, and I’m pretty excited about the future Complete Edition, or “next gen” version that CDPR announced this year, and it should come with Raytracing effects too, as per CDPR’s words. That could potentially make The Witcher 3 a game even more demanding that most 2020 titles, for sure, even 2021, and I eagerly await the release of this updated version of the game. The 3060 Ti runs this game quite nicely at 1440p and 1620p, very good resolutions for this GPU, both in modern and “older” games, as they’re a good compromise between quality and performance. As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you in the next one. And Happy New Year : )
