A Viewer Called Card Grading a Scam… Here’s My Take | Community Spotlight

A viewer told me card grading is a complete scam. So instead of typing a quick reply, I wanted to actually talk about it. Welcome back to Community Spotlight, where I pull questions, opinions, stories and comments from recent Go Big Collectibles videos and answer them right here on the channel. This week we're getting into some really good collector topics: • Is card grading actually a scam? • Why I currently use PSA even though I really like what TAG is doing • What makes a Star Wars card truly “rare” • Low print runs vs. low PSA populations • Is Star Wars Galaxy a good place for a new collector to start? • Can selling 99¢ cards on eBay actually make sense? • Why those cheap card sales can still have value for my business • Why I sold the incredibly rare Rocket Raccoon card I pulled instead of keeping it • And a Mace Windu card from a friend that came back a PSA 10 One of the things I enjoy most about collecting is that there isn't one correct way to do it. Some collectors want PSA 10s. Some want raw cards in binders. Some chase rare parallels. Others collect cards worth almost nothing because of the memories attached to them. That's exactly why I want Community Spotlight to continue. Have a question, hobby opinion, collecting story or something you disagree with me about? Leave it in the comments. I may feature it in a future episode. If you're into Star Wars, Marvel, vintage non-sports cards, grading, eBay, box openings and the trading-card hobby, subscribe and become part of the Go Big community. #CommunitySpotlight #CardGrading #TradingCards #StarWarsCards #GoBigCollectibles Go Big ComC https://www.comc.com/Users/gobigsport...
