Chinese maglev vehicle hits 650 km/h on test track

Researchers from Donghu Laboratory in central China's Hubei Province have successfully accelerated a 1.1-ton maglev vehicle to a speed of 650 kilometers per hour in just seven seconds. Scientists say the test, carried out at the High-Speed Maglev Electromagnetic Propulsion Technology Innovation Center, has broken the record for fastest maglev train in the world. The maglev operates under the laws of repelling electromagnetic poles with no physical contact between the vehicle and the track. During acceleration is it only contrained by air resistance. Researchers say, they hope to reach their goal of 800 kilometers per hour by the year's end. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
