In this video we show you how to make a slide of onion epidermal peel and focus it under a compound microscope to observe onion cells. The onion epidermal cells consist of a cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus along with other cell organelles. In this practical we will only be able to observe the cell wall and nucleus of cells as they only acquire the stain and are visible through a compound microscope.
