India, Australia plan military drills in Indo-Pacific; Boost cooperation with eye on China

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh & his Australian counterpart Richard Marles held bilateral talks in Delhi and discussed ways to further enhance defence cooperation between India and Australia. Reaffirming their shared objective of an open, free, inclusive, prosperous and rules-based Indo Pacific region, India will be participating in Australia’s maritime Indo Pacific Endeavour exercise. This drill between the two QUAD members is scheduled to take place in October this year.
