Najm us Saqib was born in a literary family of Sialkot in 1960. He studied literature, law, philosophy and psychology before joining the Foreign Service of Pakistan. During diplomatic postings to Bangladesh, Spain, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Canada, Cuba, South Africa and Brazil, he published seven books of poetry and prose including BAOO (2017) and his latest Urdu poetry Safar Doosri Taraf (2020).
