It happened in the 3rd day of my cycling from Singapore to Penang in Batu Pahat. Before turning to the Route 5, a passenger car stopped at the T-function and intended to turn right. The driver might concentrate on the traffic from the left or didn’t realize that I was travelling at higher speed than ordinary bike, she turned when I just passed the car. It hit my left rear pannier and sent me a few meter away with my bike. The whole incident was captured in a video. I was shocked and took a few deep breathes checking whether I had body injury or bone fractures. I was escaped with only a few cuts and bruises. The female driver was very apologetic and tried to compensate me but I declined. I found only the rear mirror was broken which was later fixed with two cable ties and other than that the bike and the accessories were intact. Later on, I was very cautious when crossing any junctions and would slow down until I was sure I had eye contact with the drivers.
