US-Palestine Relations | US Reopening It’s Consulate In Jerusalem | Israel | Palestine | UAE | Biden The US will look forward to reestablish its Palestinian mission in Jerusalem, according to Blinken. According to U S Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Biden administration intends to move on with its proposal to restore the U S consulate in Jerusalem as part of efforts to strengthen ties with Palestinians. Blinken reaffirmed his commitment to reopening the consulate, which had previously been used as a hub for diplomatic outreach to Palestinians before being shuttered in 2018 by President Joe Biden's predecessor Donald Trump. Blinken, addressing at a press conference in Washington with visiting Israeli Foreign Minister and Sheikh Abdullah of the United Arab Emirates, together announcing a date for the consulate's reopening, which is condemned by Israel's new cross-partisan government.
