Observing your clients during movement is something Pilates Teachers excel at - But did you know there are 3 ways to assess movement? Active, Passive and Resisted. Today, Bonnie shows us examples of these types of motion within the shoulder. Being able to assess your clients under these types of motion can give you some indication as to whether there is muscular weakness, neurological weakness or mobility issues. From there you can either modify your class to accommodate, or you can provide your client with some tailored exercises to help and improve their movement patterns. This is just one of the many screens we teach on our Shoulder courses in Pilates Therapy.
