Bouncing Springs is yet another unique custom creation from the talented and inventive mind of Nicolas Bras. This instrument almost didn't happen... except by chance, Bras dropped a spring onto the hard floor of his workshop and fell in love with the sound. Definitely a happy accident! With springs bouncing everywhere (and even sometimes into the microphones), Bras recorded different lengths of metal to get a full range of pitches. He also found a variety of different expressions and articulations captured in the randomness of the dropped springs.
