In this episode of our weekly LinkedIn Live series—Leadership at the Forefront of COVID-19—Dr. Anne Pendo, senior medical director in the Office of Patient Experience (OPE), asked Brandon Webb, MD, chair of the COVID-19 Therapeutics Committee at Intermountain and infectious disease specialist, how COVID-19 changed his life and his career. “This has been an about-face for me, I’m fairly specialized within infectious disease and care a lot for transplant patients and cancer patients, and as COVID became much more of a local problem, my job has entirely shifted, almost a hundred percent from those specific patients to caring for the community,” he said. Dr. Webb shared the collective differences in experiences of experts who would likely never work together, coming together with the purpose to support everyone through COVID-19 and optimize all patient outcomes.
