The Chicago Blackhawks' 1987 playoff foray was a dreadful display, pretty much bowing out without so much as a whimper in four straight to Detroit. The exception to that characterization was seen only in game 3, when the team displayed a glimpse of its mercurial 1980s offensive talent and intensity in roaring back from a 3-0 deficit, only to be felled by a fluke goal in overtime.
