Japanese hot spring offers bathe in red wine, is a rejuvenation treatment for the body

You know how a glass of Bordeaux can sometimes be the perfect antidote to a stressful work day? Well, the Yunessun Spa Resort in Hakone, Japan has taken it a step further by introducing a red wine hot spring. Yes, you read that right — the novelty spa offers a hot tub filled with red wine for guests to bathe in. “Bathing in wine is a rejuvenation treatment for the body, and it has been said that the Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra loved to bathe in wine,” said the spa’s website. According to the website, the red wine spa season begins every November to February (which means you should book that flight right now), and images show a giant wine bottle above the hot bath. While drinking red wine is reportedly good for lowering stress levels and risk of heart disease and stroke, there is no conclusive evidence that shows that bathing in it is good for our body — apart from the fact that it looks super fun.
