N. Korea announces closure of eight-day Workers' Party Congress

김정은 "핵전쟁억제력 강화해 최강 군사력 키워야"…당대회 폐막 The curtain came down on North Korea's eighth Workers' Party Congress Tuesday...with Kim Jong-un renewing calls for strengthening the regime's defense. The North's state-run newspaper Rodong Shinmun reported Wednesday that Kim said the regime will pour all its efforts into building the most powerful military capability by strengthening its nuclear war deterrent. He added that detailed tasks should be carried to accomplish his new five-year economic development plan.
