In this video, I'll be discussing everything there is to know about a transient shaper plugin. Transient shapers are great for modifying the sound of audio and can help fix deficiencies. In this tutorial, you will learn what a transient shaper is, why it is useful, and how it can be used on a snare drum and hi-hat. What is a transient shaper? A transient shaper allows you to transform the ADSR of a sound. That stands for attack, decay, sustain, and release. These parameters are what make up every sound. Why is a transient shaper useful? A transient shaper can help fix problems within sounds. It can add more dynamics to something lacking punch or smooth something out that is too harsh. It is great for fixing less than perfect recordings or samples. Transient shapers are great on many instruments but in my opinion shine most on drums.
