Homicide investigation underway in east Charlotte

One person was killed in a stabbing at an apartment complex in east Charlotte early Friday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said. CMPD responded to a disturbance on Perth Court, right off Milton Road, early Friday. The victim's son told WCNC Charlotte's Richard DeVayne that his mother was stabbed to death by her boyfriend. CMPD has not confirmed that information at this time or announced any arrests in the case. This was the first of several violent incidents across Charlotte Friday morning. CMPD also responded to shootings on I-77 in north Charlotte, along North Tryon Street in University City and at the intersection of Church and Liddell streets just outside Uptown. The victims in all three of those shootings suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Medic. Anyone with information is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Witnesses may also call 704-432-TIPS and speak anonymously with homicide detectives. Limited information is available regarding this homicide. This story will be updated once WCNC Charlotte confirms new details. #WakeUpCLT #Crime READ MORE: https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/cri...
