I had never focused much on Elvis Presley’s music other than the songs that we play in the Crazy Gringos, but we saw the biographical movie about Elvis last week, and I loved almost everything about it. The acting and music were amazing, and the cinematography was great. Unfortunately, the movie barely mentioned the names of the musicians that backed up Elvis on almost every one of his hits. I know the movie was about Elvis and not them; however, it would have been great to at least focus on them a little. After all, they helped create rock and roll. It took me hours of practice to get Scotty Moore’s awesome rhythm guitar part anywhere close, and I still ended up taking MANY accidental “liberties” with the bass notes 😁. This awesome blues song was written by Junior Parker. I hope you like my humble attempt Elvis Presley’s arrangement. I’ll be obsessing over many other Elvis tunes now I’m sure…
