Breakfast – Women in Engineering: Technical Competence and Impact on Human Development
The Paraná Institute of Engineering (IEP), through its Technical Chamber of Architecture, invites everyone to participate in the Breakfast Meeting – Women in Engineering: Technical Competence and Impact on Human Development, on June 23rd, at 7:30 AM, at the Events Center and via the IEP YouTube channel. Meet the speakers: Evelyn de Moraes: Electrical Engineer and works as an AI Program Delivery Planner at the City of Gold Coast, Australia. She leads the delivery and governance of Artificial Intelligence programs, focusing on responsible adoption, security, privacy, and ethics in the public sector. With an international background in technology and leadership, she integrates engineering, innovation, and awareness, advocating for an ethical, inclusive, and regenerative digital transformation. She believes that the future of technology will be shaped not only by algorithms, but by the values of those who build them, and encourages young female engineers to occupy their space with courage and purpose. Suellen Corbelini: Electrical Engineering graduate from UFPR, with a postgraduate degree in Production Engineering from UFPR and an MBA in Strategic Management from FGV. She is an executive with a solid track record in Supply Chain and team management, accumulating over 15 years of experience in large national and multinational companies. Her leadership is marked by the development of high-performance teams and the creation of collaborative environments. She combines a strong technical foundation with a results-oriented strategic vision. Throughout her career, she has led complex operations with high financial impact, managing large purchasing portfolios and multidisciplinary teams. She has held leadership positions in companies such as Tecverde S/A and Arauco S/A. Currently, she mentors other leaders with the goal of providing tools, context, and experience so that they can find their own path to leading their teams in a positive and human way and generate high-performance results, connecting theory and practice in a dynamic and inspiring manner. In the last year, she has ventured into entrepreneurship, using all the lessons learned from her professional experiences and the problem-solving skills she learned in Engineering. Veronica Ignelzi: Possesses a solid background in engineering, with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2016–2019), a postgraduate degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (2008–2009), and a degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunications) from the same institution (2003–2007), in addition to supplementary training at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (2005–2006). Currently, she works as a plant manager in Pordenone, Italy, at Nidec ACIM. Her career is marked by international experience, including stints in Brazil and Japan, and by leadership focused on innovation, diversity, and people development in complex industrial environments.
