Dive into Fun at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida - A SeaWorld Park

Discovery Cove, located next door to SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida, is a tropical oasis of aquatic fun with some incredible animal experiences. From palm tree shaded pathways, to up-close animal encounters, to food and beverages that elevate the day, this place has everything one could want for a tropical escape. We recently enjoyed a trip to Discovery Cove for Sam’s birthday, José thought it’d be a fun surprise, and enjoyed every aspect of our experience. There is so much to see and do at Discovery Cove that we quickly discovered we want to go back again and again. The parks design offers a tropical paradise that feels like you’ve just stepped onto someone’s private island. The park is divided into different areas including the Grand Reef where you can snorkel and swim with fish and stingray, the Freshwater Oasis where you can meet the otters, the Explorer’s Aviary, and Serenity Bay. Join us in this video as we explore the park and their fantastic offerings. We start with their included breakfast followed by some time preparing for our day by acquainting ourselves with the park. The water areas didn’t open immediately which allowed for us to settle in and get our wet suits on. Then we snorkel alongside stingrays on the Grand Reef. Careful! There are sharks nearby. We also spend a lot of time in the Freshwater Oasis as this lazy river quickly became one of our favorites. Oh! And lunch is also included. Although we chose not to experience the Swim with Dolphins experience, we found no lack of things to do to fill our day. We arrived early to get into the park right as it opened and spent the entire day swimming with fish, meeting some fun tropical birds, and enjoying a getaway right within the heart of Florida. Even though we live locally, this park provides an escape that will transport you to some of the lushest tropical beaches you could imagine. Leave us a comment! We’d love to hear from you.
