Very Old LFE & 3M Traffic Lights (Balboa Ave & Ruffin Rd)

These signals used to be owned by Caltrans back in the day when this road was called Highway 274 and not Balboa Ave. When these signals were new, they had all incandescents, the pedestrian signal was a worded neon walk/don't walk signal, then changed to incandescent ped signals. Then in 2001, it was changed to Balboa Ave and the city of San Diego took over these signals. These are definitely one of my favorite intersections of traffic signals because I love the old ones. The red lights have 21 LED's and 1 incandescent. The yellow lights have 9 LED's and 14 incandescents. The green lights have 22 LED's and 2 incandescents All 8 pedestrian signals are LED countdown These signals are owned by the city of San Diego and previously owned by Caltrans.
