Delhi MCD Result 2025: BJP and AAP suffer setbacks in by-elections, Congress opens its account The Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party suffered setbacks in the by-elections held in 12 wards of the Delhi Municipal Corporation. The BJP won seven of the 12 seats, the AAP three, the Congress one, and the All India Forward Bloc one. Previously, the BJP held nine of the 12 seats and the AAP three, but the BJP won only seven seats, including one it hadn't previously won. In Chandni Chowk, the BJP won by 1,182 votes. This is a setback for the AAP because, while it won three seats, its victory in the Chandni Mahal constituency by 17,000 votes has placed it third.
