Hollow Knight Silksong - Beast Crest Tanking Court of Crows (No Tools)

A really cool fight in concept but a little less cool mechanically. I don’t really care for the gauntlet before the fight but at least thematically this one feels like it has more of a purpose. Regardless as I’ve said many times already, adds never make a fight better. I also feel compelled to add the gauntlet as part of the main Crawfather boss since a name tag comes up as you’re fighting them (Court of Crows), like the Unravelled fight. As for the Crawfather himself I think he’s a pretty decent fight even if he doesn’t have a lot of attacks. At the same time, I feel like fighting the Crawfather solo would be a fairly easy Act 3 fight because of it. Unfortunately though he can summon adds throughout the fight which adds a level of artificial difficulty I’m not a fan of. With all of this said, I think going full beast ranking mode for this fight made it slightly more enjoyable. Like the Unravelled, this is another fight I don’t feel like I was missing out on by doing this and I’d do it this way everytime. While I enjoy playing “normally” with Beast Crest I find the tanking playstyle to be fun in its own way and with Crawfathers big hitboxes and slow movement, it was pretty easy to chain binds together. Don’t really have too much more to say about this fight but overall it was just average. Definitely not in Savage Beastfly Tier but in the lower end of the C tier ranking.
