PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Looking for an easy winter painting idea? Want to do a fun Christmas DIY project? In the mood for fantasy art? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun whimsical beginner art video as you learn how to paint a little girl walking through the illuminated forest of lights—an enchanting and magical landscape painting “TUNNEL OF LIGHTS” with acrylic paint. There are a lot of things I like about Disney World; food, the rides, the shows, and all the activities, but what I think I like the most is how it makes me feel. I feel like a kid, and when I step into one of the parks, I instantly forget about the rest of the world and all I want to do is stuff my face and go on as many rides as I can. It’s great, and this painting is actually inspired by a family trip that I took with my family about 15 years ago. Many years ago, Disney celebrated Christmas with the Osborne Family Christmas Lights Spectacle where they had millions upon millions of lights on display and several tunnels to walk through. And I remember walking through one of these tunnels and listening to the philharmonic orchestra playing on the speakers and I was completely bedazzled! I felt like a kid waking up on Christmas morning and walking downstairs to see all the presents under the Christmas tree for the first time. So, I tried to capture the essence of what I experienced and felt at that moment. Join me for this beginner acrylic art lesson and paint this festive, Christmas Holiday image, perfect for the season! In the first step you’ll learn how draw a landscape and then how to paint a sky and ground using wintery colors in order to capture the feel of the brisk chilly season. In the next art step, you’ll learn how to paint glow dots both in the background and foreground, using a layering drybrush and stippling technique. You'll also make the dots appear to get small in the background creating a forced perspective to the tunnel. Then it's onto painting snow on the ground using a loose impressionistic technique to give the appearance of fluffiness. Then, after learning how to draw a person using a dot-to-dot simple drawing method, you’ll use color theory to create custom colored clothing. You’ll learn how to paint clothing by layering colors to give texture and movement followed by adding highlights and shadows for added form and dimension on her body creating a realistic 3-D appearance like a photograph. You'll then learn how to paint long flowing hair, using a direction brushstroke, making it look like the wind is blowing her long locks. Next, you’ll paint a lamp and create light using a drybrush technique. It's so easy to follow, you’ll feel like it’s a paint by numbers, you'll even have enough confidence to change it up if you want. Add a Christmas tree, presents, ornaments, or snowman, just have fun with it and create the perfect canvas wall art to spark the imagination. Using only 3 brushes and 7 colors, you’ll paint like a professional! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy.
