The Saga of the Ruby Slippers
As part of our One Town, One Read program, Ryan Lintelman, Curator of the Entertainment Collection at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, discusses the museum’s pair of ruby slippers worn by a 16-year-old Judy Garland in the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, as well as the investigation into a recovered pair that the FBI brought to the museum to trace its authenticity.
