TOP 100 IN THE WORLD?! | MEGAMINX at Thai Champs 2023 - 39.36, 39.52 averages and 32.70 single!

I’m honestly SO proud of this :) Top 100 in the world has always felt impossible to me. To me, only really really really fast speedcubers could reach that level. And then, after only slightly more than a year of maining Megaminx, i achieved it, for both single and average :)) Honestly, I don’t have too high expectations for my Megaminx ‘career’ in the future, but I do hope I will continue maining this event and get better and better at it :) I guess NR2 is a goal, but who knows how long I’ll take to get that HAHA. And we don’t even talk about NR 💀 below is a walkthrough of all my solves during finals. you can read each of them while watching or after watching each solve :)). (only read when the video starts to avoid spoilers!) would really appreciate it if you read it since i spent FOREVER typing it all out 🫠 47: got nervous when the judge said “8”, cos for some reason my brain treats “8” as a GO NOW, so i didnt plan enough. this happened for almost the rest of the average too lol. (i reallllyy need to work on this) turned uselessly for like 5 secs trying to find my first f2l pair. and oh my gosh after this solve my nerves just went CRAZY. i knew it probably wasnt going to count, but that meant that every other bad solve under 47 (which was easy to get) was going to COUNT in the average. the 4 remaining solves were SO nerve wrecking after this. 37: WOOHOO REVIVAL! lol i knew nr3 single was a 37, but i didn’t know what it was exactly, so when waiting for solve 3, i checked and found out that this solve was nr3 yessssss. also improvement from last solve by 10 seconds lol 38: counting 38!! got a bit excited haha. 42: OUH NO COUNTING 42!!!!!! had trouble finding pairs like in solve one. i was actually so so nervous coming into the last solve. BPA was 39.52, and WPA was 42.93, which definitely wasn’t good enough for podium.
